Products, Prices and Payment Methods
While we take care in our product descriptions, leather is a natural material and due to the nature of the tanning and dyeing process in some instances the colour may not match exactly the colour displayed in photographs. Due to the natural properties of leather small variations in size and finish may occur therefore all dimensions should be taken as approximate.
We take care to ensure all prices are up to date and accurate. However prices may change from time to time and we reserve the right to update and rectify such change in a reasonable and timely manner. Prices are quoted in UK sterling unless otherwise specified and agreed. Online payment can be made in a secure environment by all major credit cards and debit cards, except Diners. Sterling cheque or money orders should be made out to Designer Leathers Peterborough and received at the Peterborough address: 8 Queen Street, Peterborough PE1 1PA. Please record your order reference number and name on the back of your cheque or money order. If you prefer, you can also make payment by telephone – choose whichever option is most convenient to you.
We offer free delivery within the UK. Jackets and other garments are delivered via courier service (Monday to Friday), insured and tracked end to end in case of any unexpected issues, or by Royal Mail. Please allow up to three days (exceptions may apply). All items are sold subject to availability. We will inform you if any item is out of stock and undertake to send it on to you as soon as it becomes available. The courier service requires someone to be available at the address so the parcel can be signed for. If your delivery address is different from your mailing address please make this clear or provide an alternative mailing address where there will be somebody available to sign for the delivery. If a delivery cannot be made, it is the customer’s responsibility to follow the instructions on what to do. If the parcel is returned to Designer Leathers Peterborough, any attempts to re-send the parcel will be treated as a new order and may be charged.
For deliveries outside the UK an additional charge will be made for postage and packaging.
Designer Leathers Peterborough can not be held responsible for any delay in delivery caused by the manufacturer or any third party including Royal Mail or courier service.
Passing of property
Designer Leathers Peterborough retains ownership of the goods until the customer has made full payment and the funds have been cleared. If paying by cheque or money order, payment should be received within seven days of the order being placed – we do not advise sending cash through the post.
Acceptance of orders
We reserve the right to remove or edit content or cancel orders at our discretion. If we cancel an order it will be without any charge to you. Once an online order has been submitted you will receive an automated order receipt email. Before the order is accepted the debit or credit card details provided will be validated. The automated delivery confirmation email will then be sent subject to availability of products, pricing or other substantial reason that may impact the transaction. Orders will be despatched once payment has been confirmed… cheques or money orders must be received within seven days of the order being placed. If your card issuer refuses to authorise payment we will not be liable to delay or non-delivery.
We offer a 10-day refund and exchange policy if you are not satisfied with your garment.
In the case of goods being rejected due to defect or discrepancy in the order, the customer is entitled to a replacement or full refund, less the original cost of delivery. The customer must notify Designer Leathers Peterborough within 48 hours of receipt of order by telephone, email or post. Then return the product within 7 days by re-packing carefully, including your order reference number, name and contact details and why it is being returned before a refund or replacement can be issued. Goods should be returned unworn, with tags attached and in re-saleable condition – if damaged in transit, send the whole parcel back to us as you have received it, in order for us to notify and follow-up with Royal Mail or the courier service.
In line with Distance Selling Regulations if you wish to cancel your order, you have within 7 working days upon receipt of the order to telephone, email or post us a letter informing us. Goods sent back to us must be packed in the same condition sent to you, unless damaged in transit.
Designer Leathers Peterborough will accept no liability or responsibility for products being sold to a third party.
